Este es el inicio de mis posts "Made in Barcelona", donde presentare trabajos hechos 100% en la ciudad condal y que guarden profunda relación con el mundo de la moda./

Scissor Sisters is one of the most avant-garde groups that exist nowdays. This time I show their latest video made by the Barcelona producer company Canada for the song "Invisible Light". This is the beginning of my posts "Made in Barcelona", where I submit 100% work done in this city and keeps deep relationship with the world of fashion.

Mi pasión por la ilustración me ha llevado a analizar como los diseñadores de moda buscan sus musas a través de diferentes fuentes que evoquen esas emociones que quieren transmitir a través de sus trabajos. El color, las formas y las texturas son algunos de los elementos que definen las colecciones que desarrollan./


My passion for illustration let me to analyze how fashion designers find their muses through various sources that evoke those emotions they want to express through their works. The color, shapes and textures are some of the elements that define the collections they develop.

Los estampados son la pieza clave para muchos de ellos, llegando a crear tendencias tan fuertes como lo ocurrido en los 90's con los estampados de la casa Versace./

The patterns are the key to many of them coming to create trends as strong as what happened in the 90's with the prints of the house Versace.

En la actualidad los diseñadores emergentes siguen utilizando los estampados como parte de sus trabajos. Así lo ha hecho el diseñador de origen hindú Manish Arora (que es también diseñador de la línea femenina de Paco Rabanne) con la creación de su ultima colección presentada en Paris donde incorpora las ilustraciones del artista alemán radicado en Berlín Amrei Hofstätter./

Currently emerging designers are still using the prints as part of their work. It has done Indian-born designer Manish Arora (who is also designer Paco Rabanne female line) with the creation of his latest collection presented in Paris which includes artwork by German artist based in Berlin Amrei Hofstätter.

También lo hace la firma Vlisco de origen Holandés, cuyas colecciones son dirigidas al mercado africano. Toman como base las ilustraciones de diferentes artistas y las incorporan a través de las técnicas artesanales como el “Batik”./

So does the firm Vlisco of Dutch origin, whose collections are targeted at the African market. They take artwork of different artists and incorporated through craft techniques such as “Batik”.
