Por otra parte también están los diseñadores clásicos, aquellos que se han quedado con las mismas propuestas de siempre, sin ninguna novedad./

El estilo de calzado que llegó para quedarse. Los Sneakers siguen imponiéndose en el 2010, y los vemos ahora con la marca británica GOLA y la colaboración del diseñador Marroquí de sangre azul Jean-Charles de Castelbajac (JC/DC). El mismo que ha hecho que Madonna utilizara un abrigo de Teddy Bears y que Lady Gaga causara conmoción con un abrigo de Ranas René del aclamado Show de Los Muppets./

Podemos ver como el recurso fotográfico encaja a la perfección con el estilo Vintage de las colecciones./

Ejemplos de ello son los trabajos desarrollados por los fotógrafos Terry Richardson y Jason Lee Parry, donde se aprecia que sus fotografías parecen carecer de toda postproducción y cero uso del estigmatizado Photoshop, creando una perfecta alegoría a todas aquellas fotografías hechas en casa./

Que mejor manera de comenzar "The Appetite and The Closet" que dando un tributo al diseñador más revolucionario del mundo de la moda en los últimos tiempos: Alexander McQueen. En esta pequeña muestra, extraigo lo que considero es lo más destacado de sus últimos proyectos./ 

What better way to start "The Appetite and The Closet" to give a tribute to the most revolutionary designer of fashion in recent times: Alexander McQueen. In this small sample, I draw what I think is the highlight of his latest projects.


























McQueen nuevamente nos deja boquiabiertos, cosa que siempre logró colección tras colección. Revolucionó todo lo que hizo, desde sus inicios en Central St. Martins hasta febrero de este año con su propia muerte. Estos looks nos recuerdan ese país de la maravillas al que McQueen siempre nos llevó en cada uno de sus shows, que lejos de ser simples pasarelas eran verdaderas obras de arte sobre el escenario. Novedoso, refrescante, puro, futurista, son solo algunos de los adjetivos que se le podría dar a su trabajo./ 

McQueen leaves us speechless again, thing that always made collection after collection. Always revolutionized everything he did, since his start in Central St. Martins until past February with his death. These looks remind us the wonderland that McQueen always carry us in each of his shows, far from simple runways were true pieces of art on stage. New, refreshing, pure, futuristic, are just some of the adjectives that I could give your work.


 

Cabe destacar sus prendas con manchas de pintura y los accesorios creados a partir de manoplas de los ya famosos hooligans callejeros. Repito, todo un revolucionario que logró ver todo aquello que otros no lograban ver. Ahora solo queda preguntarnos: ¿Quién podría ser aquella persona que logre continuar con su historia y nos siga transportando a ese mundo que nos daba tantas maravillas?, ¿Existirá?./

Algunos alimentos y también algunos vestidos funcionan como afrodisiacos que despiertan nuestros más íntimos deseos. Tomo como slogan la cita del escritor Jean Cocteau "The prettiest dresses are worn to be taken off" para expresar esta filosofía. En el Blog hablaré de todo aquello que me despierta el "Appetite" dentro del mundo de la moda. La llegada de la Web y sus nuevas herramientas me ha dado el empuje necesario para comenzar y poder escribir acerca de algo que me apasiona. Bienvenidos ;-). /
